The NHS improves patient safety at GPs during Covid-19

The NHS England and NHS Improvement, together with Public Health England have launched the ‘Help Us, Help You’ Lung Cancer campaign.

The campaign places great importance on checking your symptoms for lung cancer at an early stage. Thousands of people have refrained from seeking medical attention due to the fear of contracting Covid-19 or placing strain on healthcare workers. As a result worsening their condition. The NHS has put in place great measures for patient safety during the pandemic.

GPs are urging those with a long-lasting cough to book their appointment as soon as possible. Treatment is mainly effective in the early stages of diagnosis.
