Qualifications and Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Mental Health Nursing
Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
Clinical experience in paediatric nursing
Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Valid Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS) check (we encourage you to apply for the Update Service for ongoing portability)

In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and young people's mental health needs. Here's what you can expect to do:
Conduct fast and thorough assessments to identify individual needs.
Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments.
Effectively refer patients to other clinicians and services as needed.
Act as a gatekeeper according to established procedures.
Provide managerial support and lead the team in the absence of the Team Manager.
Deliver timely and intensive interventions for those experiencing mental health crises.
Develop strong relationships and offer expert advice to other services and carers.
Participate in local and national strategies to improve service quality.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting professional growth.
