What We're Looking For:
Degree or equivalent qualification in Mental Health Nursing.
Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
Experience in paediatric nursing.
Valid NMC registration and DBS check (Update Service highly encouraged).
The Role:
In this pivotal role, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality care to children and young people facing mental health challenges. Your responsibilities include:
Fast and accurate assessments of individual needs.
Performing comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments.
Efficient referrals to other clinicians and services as needed.
Acting as a gatekeeper according to established procedures.
Providing managerial support and leading the team during team manager absence.
Delivering rapid interventions in crisis situations.
Building strong relationships with other services and carers.
Contributing to local and national strategies for improved service delivery.
Supervising and mentoring junior staff.
