Position: Band 6 RMN (Perinatal Practitioner)
Vacancy Type: Regular NHS jobs, ongoing agency work and nursing shifts
Working Hours: 5 sessions over 2.5 days (negotiable working days)
Preferred Day: Ideally one day should be a Tuesday, but not essential
Location: Waltham Forest Borough, England
Pay Rates: £21 per hour or more (explore our pay rates)
📋 Responsibilities:
As a Perinatal Practitioner, you will:
Manage a caseload of service users open to the perinatal service, offering a range of interventions for a stated limited period.
Ensure assessment, support/care-plans, and intervention are shared and agreed with relevant individuals and agencies.
Plan care in association with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, involving service users and, where appropriate, carers in the care planning and delivery.
Organise and prioritise workload, responding to referrals as they present.
Adhere to Trust protocols and procedures, demonstrating organisational knowledge.
Provide accurate records of information required by the Trust for audit purposes.
Ensure effective risk management at the team level through accident/incident reporting, risk assessment, and control.
💼 Skills and Experience Required:
✅ We are looking for a qualified RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with:
Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience within a mental health setting.
Extensive experience working in the community as a qualified practitioner.
Experience working with Safeguarding children's cases.
Desirable: Experience in the Perinatal Mental Health field or a keen interest in this specialist area.
